A pocket breathalyzer is portable, convenient and affordable. There are many styles of this unique technology on the market today. Law enforcement officers carry larger kits in their squad cars to perform field sobriety tests on drivers suspected of alcohol abuse.

Some units require only the device and a person’s breath to operate, while others require batteries to complete the function. Pocket breathalyzers are merely one tool to assess a driver’s impairment or ability to drive at any given time.
